I’ve been a resident in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast since 2004 when I moved here with my young family from the central Victorian town of Shepparton. Not the most amazing town to be honest but was better than where I grew up which was an even less remarkable town called Broadford. Everyone has to be from somewhere right?

Our move aligned with the desire to escape the depth of Winter while our kids were young enough to relocate without issues and the sale of my Cafe that I’d owned for 4 years and our beloved 1906 cottage that we lovingly renovated. Sunshine Coast here we come baby!

My real estate journey started here with a brief start at Elders in Caloundra followed by my real beginning at Ken Guy Mooloolaba. This was pinnacle of real estate at the time, bougee waterfront office, high profile agents and some of the biggest results and marketing budgets going around.

In 2007 we started anew by taking on a new office of our own and the Place franchise from trendy inner Brisbane. We learned so much from our time with that brand about marketing, training and high performance business ownership that propelled us into our next phase

Gorman & Gray Property was the culmination of our experience’s and personal values all rolled into one. Launched in 2012 , we proudly wore our boutique brand and grew a Property Management, Holiday letting and sales division until we ultimately sold our business in 2023.

Rest was in order. Time away, travel, home renovations, helped my wife launch a homewares business (www.humbleliving.com.au check it out!) and took some time to recharge. I also bought a 1960 Land Rover which is now in 1000 pieces but I have a vision…
